CVOR RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Join Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR). This 91-day travel assignment offers a structured schedule and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced surgical environment handling complex cases.

Schedule & Logistics

• Work 3×12-hour shifts, 6:15 AM to 6:45 PM
• Monday–Friday schedule with rotating shift times as needed
• On-call requirement: approximately 3–4 weekday and 1–2 weekend call shifts per 6-week cycle (may vary by unit needs)
• Official turnaround time: 40 minutes from call to clock-in
• Weekend coverage required per call policy
• Holiday shifts required as needed, discussed in advance
• Department dress code: Scrub Navy

Role Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in cardiac, thoracic, vascular, transplant, and other complex surgical cases
• Primary focus: cardiac and thoracic procedures
• Additional procedures: vascular (open and endovascular), transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas), Whipple procedures
• Enter missing instruments into the CensiTrac system
• Float within service line as needed
• Handle emergent cases in a high-urgency environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CVOR experience; 1 year considered with Level 1 Trauma Facility experience
• Scrub and circulate experience required for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Heart and lung transplant experience required for night shift
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• BSN preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Compensation & Duration

Weekly pay: $2,960. Assignment begins August 3, 2026, and runs for 91 days.
