CVOR RN Job in Springfield, MO

Join Mercy Hospital Springfield as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN on a 13-week travel assignment. You will work a day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 36 weekly guaranteed hours. This role includes rotational call for nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the facility.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across all age groups
• Support open heart and thoracic surgical procedures in a 4-operating room CVOR setting
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Float as needed to support facility operations

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license; must meet Missouri licensure criteria or hold current Missouri license
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience
• BLS and ACLS certification from AHA (required)
• Demonstrated experience with open heart and thoracic procedures

Preferred Experience

• ECMO
• Impella insertion
• Robotic-assisted surgery

Work Environment

You will use the Epic Optime EMR system and work in a cardiothoracic patient setting. Black scrubs are required; unprofessional attire and jeans are not acceptable. The position requires frequent standing and walking, and the ability to lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. You must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.

Assignment length: 13 weeks. Start date: July 29, 2026. Weekly pay: $2,628.
