Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required - traveler must confirm comfort with this requirement prior to submission
• Must work 2 out of 3 paired major holidays: 11/27 & 11/28, 12/24 & 12/25, 12/31 & 1/1
• Home unit will be NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics and will be assigned upon arrival based on facility need
• Float required between NICU and Pediatric Acute Care areas
• Primarily placed in Labor & Delivery (L&D) - L&D experience required
• NICU experience required with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Children's Hospital experience within the last 3 years required; strong clinicians with Level I adult trauma facility experience may also be considered
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and pediatrics
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, RRT (NBRC), Indiana State License - all must be in hand prior to submission
• PALS preferred; NRP can be obtained after offer for those placed in L&D
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• Required skills include: aerosol setup, CPAP/BiPAP, extubation, interpretation of ABGs, tracheostomy care and management, mechanical ventilation weaning, nitric oxide administration, nasal airway placement and suctioning, oral airway placement, inhaled medications administration, and troubleshooting high pressure alarms, among others
