Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Primary placement in Labor & Delivery (L&D) with NICU as home unit
• Will float between NICU and Pediatric Acute Care areas
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
• Must have Children's Hospital experience within the last 3 years; open to travelers whose experience is at a Level 1 adult facility
• Must have L&D experience
• NICU or PICU experience required
• Home unit of NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics will be assigned upon arrival and may be changed based on facility need
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and pediatrics
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP, Indiana State License
• PALS preferred
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• Indiana license and all certifications must be in hand prior to submission
• First-time travelers accepted
• Skills include but are not limited to: aerosol setup, CPAP/BiPAP, extubation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), nitric oxide (iNO), tracheostomy care/management, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and nasal airway management
