ED RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Emergency Room. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,229.12.

Schedule and Staffing:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Four weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Patient ratio of 1:4

Experience and Credentials Required:

• Minimum 2 years of ER experience
• At least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• TNCC and ATCN certifications preferred (ENPC cannot substitute for PALS)
• Ability to read telemetry strips on Phillips monitors
• Must pass a Day 1 orientation exam (study guide provided) and DYS exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)

Orientation and Training:

• 2–3 shifts of floor-specific orientation
• SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail)
• Training in lifts, restraints, and wound care

Facility Details:

The 36-acute-bed, 54-subacute-bed unit with 6 trauma bays treats approximately 250–300 patients daily. Common diagnoses include trauma, burns, chest pain, and spinal cord injuries. The facility uses Cerner EMR for charting.

Work Environment and Requirements:

• May float between up to 4 facilities approximately 30 minutes apart, including mid-shift floating
• Must have your own vehicle
• Natural hair color and no facial piercings required
• Navy scrubs required
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
