Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on 4th and 5th floor Med Surg unit with 60 beds
• Patient ratios of 5:1 on Med Surg Specialty 4th Floor and 6:1 on Med Surg 5th Floor
• Weekend shifts are required with no on-call responsibilities
• Telemetry experience required
• Med Surg experience required
• Cardiac recognition and IV starts preferred
• Strong time management skills preferred
• Perform and assist with procedures including abdominal surgeries, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart caths, gastric sleeves, total hip/knee/shoulder replacements, and orthopedic trauma repairs
• Work with equipment including remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and dynamaps
• Document using Alterra (Allscripts) EMR system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Mandatory float as needed to inpatient rehab, ED, and PCU within skill level and scope
• Scrub color requirement: black scrubs transitioning to Medical City Blue
• Team oriented, positive, and flexible personality preferred
