Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Santa Cruz, CA

Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking an RN (Registered Nurse) for their Cardiac Cath Lab. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, with a weekly pay of $3,599.

Position Overview

You will work 5x8-hour day shifts during business hours with call coverage responsibilities. The Cardiac Cath Lab operates with a 2-suite setup and handles 4–14 cases per day. You will maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and perform sedation monitoring for cardiac catheterization procedures, including conscious sedation testing as part of unit protocol.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform sedation monitoring during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Start your own IVs as part of nursing duties
• Support interventional and diagnostic catheterizations, STEMI cases, TAVR, and EVAR (Endovascular Aneurysm Repair) procedures
• Chart using the Cerner EMR system
• Collaborate with in-house cardiologists and 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support

Schedule & Support

Your schedule includes 8-hour day shifts with on-call requirement twice monthly on weekends. You will rotate holidays with permanent staff. No floating to other units is required. The facility provides scrubs.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• BSN not required
