RN - Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3x12 schedule)
• Block scheduling is potentially available but not guaranteed
• Weekend coverage includes 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays) along with 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays
• Only one holiday may be requested off
• Travel partners are not allowed
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required; experience with pre-cardiac cath and managing ports required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Active compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Epic charting experience required
• Must wear Navy Blue scrubs with no agency or brand logos
• Fingernails must be natural and less than 1/4" in length; polish is acceptable
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• May float between campuses and to Observation Units, MS, and MS Tele units as needed
• Will support ED boarders across the system who are waiting for inpatient beds; if boarders are insufficient, will float to observation units
• Patient ratio experience of 5 to 6 patients
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, port access and management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias, among others
• Special equipment includes lift equipment, iPad for communication, and pacemaker interrogation devices
