PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

United Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Wichita Falls, Texas. You will work 3x12 nights at $2,099.52 weekly on a 36/48-hour alternating schedule with a 72-hour biweekly guarantee.

Role Overview

You will float between Med Surg and PCU units, caring for adult and geriatric patient populations. Night shifts typically carry a patient ratio of 6 patients. Weekend shifts are required as needed, which may include most weekends during your contract. Block scheduling may be accommodated, though set schedules cannot be approved.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Essential Clinical Skills

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Central line and PICC line care and management
• Chest tube management
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Wound care, wound vac, and dressing changes
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Titration of insulin drips and heparin protocols
• IV insulin protocols
• Blood product administration
• Thrombolytic agent administration
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• High-flow nasal cannula
• Arterial blood gas interpretation
• Pacemaker management
• PCA pump management
• Phlebotomy
• Rapid response and code team participation
