Telemetry RN Job in Philadelphia, PA

Temple University Hospital is seeking an RN for a 90-day travel assignment in our Telemetry unit. You will provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients, including post-operative cases and patients with varied medical-surgical diagnoses.

Your responsibilities include:

• Administer medications, blood products, and therapeutic treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessments
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Manage airway and respiratory care including breathing treatments, chest tube setup and care, and tracheostomy care
• Manage lines and equipment including drains, feeding tubes, PICC and central lines, triple lumen catheters, and PCA pumps
• Administer IV medications and drips including insulin, heparin, and heparin drips
• Provide care for patients on involuntary behavioral health status when appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case management, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system

Assignment details: You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. There are no on-call requirements. You may be required to float to other medical-surgical units when not needed on your primary unit. The dress code is royal blue scrubs.

Position qualifications: Experience in a medical-surgical setting is preferred. Experience with telemetry monitoring and post-operative patient care is preferred. Familiarity with Epic EMR is preferred.

Compensation and timeline: Weekly pay is $2,301. The assignment runs for 90 days, with a start date of November 9, 2026. Interviews are conducted virtually.
