PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Up to 2 weekends per month required
• Holidays required
• Block scheduling may be considered if requested upfront (not guaranteed)
• Floating required to MedSurg based on patient volume
• IMCU Float Pool position
• Patient ratio 5:1 with a goal of 4:1
• Average daily census of 20-24 patients on a 24-bed unit
• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients when needed (peds patients are occasional)
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• EPIC EMR proficiency required
• Telemetry skills required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Skills required include blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, cardiac drip management (no titration), nasal cannula and oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Minimum 2 years of IMCU/telemetry experience required
• 2+ years of travel experience required
• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be AHA)
• Scrubs: Navy or white only
• No candidates residing within 40 miles of facility (driver's license required for address verification prior to offer)
