Cath Lab Technologist Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work rotating 4x10-hour day shifts with hours of 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM and 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM. Shift rotation is managed by week to maintain consistency, and you will stay until procedures are complete.

Your daily caseload includes 4 to 5 labs with 2–3 CVTs per lab, handling approximately 20–25 cases per day. You will support both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures for adult and geriatric patients. Procedures include coronary diagnostic and interventional catheterization, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis and thrombectomy, embolization, Impella insertion, and IVC filter placement.

Requirements and expectations:

• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
• Proficiency in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitoring
• Current BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
• Radiation badge provided by agency
• On-call commitment: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per 7 weeks, plus one call shift and one evening shift every week; call requirements may adjust based on staffing needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• One shift per 2 weeks may be called off; called-off hours can be broken into partial shifts
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities

Equipment and systems:

You will work with Impella, balloon pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab documentation, and Vidistar image storage. The facility uses Epic for charting. Hospital-issued scrubs are provided. Proficiency with PACS is expected.

Compensation and logistics:

Weekly pay is $2,728. The assignment runs 91 days starting October 12, 2026. Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval and unit needs.
