Cath Lab Technologist Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown seeks a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 4×10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with shift end times varying based on procedure completion.

Role responsibilities:

• Manage 20–25 cases daily across 4–5 labs with 2–3 CVTs per lab
• Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor duties
• Conduct left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
• Operate specialized equipment including Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab, and Vidistar
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience in a community hospital setting
• Proficiency in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Schedule and on-call:

• On-call one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per 7 weeks
• One call shift and one evening shift every week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• Holiday shifts required as needed
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours equal 1 shift
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities

Compensation and benefits:

• $2,728 weekly pay
