Cath Lab Technologist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health – Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026. You will work days from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days per week at $2,760 weekly pay.

Role Overview

You will support a 2-room Cath Lab environment performing a range of cardiac procedures. Your primary patient population includes pediatric and adult congenital heart disease cases, transplant procedures, right and left heart biopsies, balloon and stent placements, and valve procedures. You may also assist with interventional radiology (IR) cases, particularly those involving pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic catheterizations for both pediatric/neonatal and adult patients
• Support percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and cardiac stent placements
• Prepare equipment and sterile fields for procedures
• Monitor and document patient data using the EPIC charting system
• Respond to on-call duties: 8–10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and wear required radiation badge

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional credential
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Either CCI with RCIS/RCES (preferred) or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R)
• Demonstrated competency in cardiac stent placement and diagnostic catheterizations (adult and pediatric/neonatal)
• Level I Trauma pediatric Cath Lab experience preferred; EP experience preferred

The facility may call off one shift per two weeks; called-off hours break down to equal one shift. Your agency will provide the required radiation badge. Parking passes are available for nights and weekends only at a one-time cost of $20.
