MICU RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call requirements
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Minimum 2-3 years or more of ICU experience required
• MICU and MSICU background preferred
• Exposure to IABP and CRRT preferred
• Meditech documentation system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification
• Active Texas RN license required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• Perform procedures including chest tubes, trachs, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, art lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes
• All travelers are required to float per facility floating policy
• Badging in and out for each shift is required along with taking a full 30-minute lunch break
• Clock in time is 6:38 AM/PM - after 6:45 AM/PM is considered tardy
• Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket required for RNs
• Nails must be clean and healthy; hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
• Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
