PACU RN Job in Cedar Rapids, IA

UnityPoint - St. Luke's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 91-day travel assignment in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will work day shifts (5x8) with no on-call or weekend requirements, earning $2,482 weekly. Start date: November 2, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide primary care in Cardiac Holding with float support to Vascular and Diagnostic Cardiology as needed. The unit operates as a 19-bed pre- and post-procedure area with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. You will care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology (EP) procedures, and other interventional cardiology cases, with emphasis on groin and radial site management and hemostasis device monitoring.

Required Experience

• Minimum 15 months of Cath Lab, critical care, and/or PACU experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, or Pre/Post Op Surgery experience documented in work history
• Demonstrated pre- and post-operative and recovery experience
• Hands-on experience with groin and radial site management
• TR band (hemostasis device) management experience
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Pre/Post Op required
• First-time travelers welcome if you have at least 36 months of relevant experience

Required Credentials and Certifications

• Active Iowa nursing license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

At least one professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
