PACU RN Job in Cedar Rapids, IA

UnityPoint - St. Luke's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary position in the Pre/Post-Op unit in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is a day shift role working five 8-hour shifts per week for 91 days, beginning November 2, 2026.

Role Details

You will work in a pre/post-op unit with 2 procedure rooms and 3 pre/post bays, caring for patients undergoing non-invasive cardiology procedures. Your patient ratio will be 1:3. Responsibilities include pre-procedural and post-procedural care for patients having TEE, cardioversions, and stress testing. There are no on-call requirements and no required weekend shifts. You may be asked to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.

Compensation and Schedule

Weekly pay is $2,482. You will work days only with no on-call obligations.

Requirements

• Valid Iowa state nursing license
• Active AHA or ARC BLS certification
• Minimum 24 months of current experience in pre/post-op, PACU, or cardiac/cardiology setting
• Pre/post-op experience required
• TEE experience required
• Cardioversion experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Stress testing experience preferred
• Work history must reflect 24 months of current pre/post-op, cath, or cardiac experience
• Skills checklist specific to pre/post-op, cath, or cardiac discipline required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of experience
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
