ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts available; day shift 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or night shift 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• No on-call required
• 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Level II Trauma and Pediatric ED experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Float within hospital and within scope of care as needed (excluding Cancer Center and Cath Lab)
• Block scheduling not available
• Maryland RN license required upon submittal
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and facility Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam
• Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
• Must pass an onsite pass/fail exam
• Advanced EKG testing required
• Strong EKG proficiency required; must pass the facility's Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam covering heart blocks, pacing, lethal dysrhythmias, and appropriate interventions
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience required
• Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management required
• Blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV management required
• Emergency medication, IV vasopressor, and procedural sedation experience required
• CVA experience required
• Triage experience required
• Must be comfortable with pediatric emergencies, behavioral health emergencies, and respiratory emergencies
• Intubation assistance, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, and chest tube management required
• Serves neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Charting system: Cerner required
• Scrub color: Navy
