ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required, including both Saturday and Sunday
• Holiday coverage is required during the contract period
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract and must be included at time of contract review
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including support of two rapid evaluation units for urgent care and critical care needs
• Support two locked Behavioral Health units in the ED with a 1:6 patient ratio, supported by a dedicated security team
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6 in the general Emergency Department
• 3 years of Emergency Department experience required; may consider 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience
• Precepting and training experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of Emergency Department experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and Prophecy Relias Advanced Emergency Department assessment
• 4 hours of annual stroke continuing education units required
• CEN certification preferred
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission
• Charting system: Cerner with FirstNet and Launch
• Scrub color: Navy blue
