ED Registered Nurse Job in Olney, Maryland

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 9, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,024

Role Requirements

• 2+ years of ED Charge RN experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Additional experience required in Stroke and TNK administration
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Cerner charting system experience required

Department Environment

The department is multi-function, covering Geriatric, Pediatric, and Psychiatric ED. You must be comfortable working across all areas and treating patients of all age groups, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Certifications and Licenses

• Maryland compact license or Maryland state license required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms

Key Clinical Skills

• Blood product administration
• Emergency medications
• General emergency department care for combined adult and pediatric populations
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Triage

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, transportation, and unit secretary assistance.
