ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of ED Charge RN experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to consideration
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Additional experience required in Stroke/TNK administration
• Department is multi-function covering Geriatric, Pediatric, and Psychiatric ED - must be comfortable working in all areas
• Must treat patients of all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must have Cerner charting system experience
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Maryland compact license or MD license required
• Skills required include blood product administration, emergency medications, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, isolation precautions/PPE, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, transportation, and unit secretary
