ED Registered Nurse Job in Leonardtown, MD

MedStar Saint Marys Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in the Emergency Department, starting October 5, 2026. You'll work a 3x12 night shift schedule with every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, Friday and Saturday nights).

Role Overview

You'll provide nursing care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department that serves patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatric patients. Your patient ratio will be 1:4–6. You'll manage a full spectrum of emergency presentations, including neurological emergencies, trauma, psychiatric holds, respiratory illness, and pediatric emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform triage and initial patient assessments
• Establish IV access and draw blood samples
• Interpret dysrhythmias and 12-lead ECGs/EKGs
• Administer blood products and manage procedural sedation monitoring
• Care for ventilated patients
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Cerner EMR proficiency
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• TNCC and CPI certifications preferred
• Proficiency in general emergency department skills
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,960. This is a 91-day assignment offering the opportunity to work in a busy, multidisciplinary emergency setting with comprehensive support services.
