ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, including both Saturday and Sunday
• Holiday coverage is required during the contract period
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract and must be included at time of contract review
• Float within scope to support facility needs, including two rapid evaluation units for urgent care and critical care needs
• Support two locked Behavioral Health units in the ED with a 1:6 patient ratio alongside a security team
• Patient ratio experience of 1:4 to 1:6 required
• 3 years of Emergency Department experience required; may consider 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience
• Precepting and training experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of Emergency Department experience
• Treat patients across all age groups including neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Department averages approximately 120 visits per day across a 54-bed Emergency Department
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and Prophecy Relias Advanced Emergency Department assessment
• 4 hours of annual stroke continuing education units required
• CEN certification preferred
• Maryland or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Charting system: Cerner with FirstNet and Launch
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Key skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, triage, phlebotomy, and care of ventilated patients
• Locals accepted at the same rate
