ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend is required
• No on-call requirement
• Self-scheduling unit; block scheduling is not available
• Patient ratio of 1:5 for adult and geriatric patients
• Floating within the hospital and within scope is required based on facility needs
• 7 years of RN experience required
• Strong cardiac telemetry experience required
• ER holding and PCU/Stepdown experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Charting system: Cerner experience required
• Required skills and experience include:
   - Cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
   - On-unit and remote telemetry monitoring
   - Rapid Response/Code Team experience
   - Temporary and permanent pacemaker experience
   - Pre/post hemodialysis and renal failure experience
   - Blood product administration
   - Central line, peripheral line, and PICC management
   - Phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs
   - Heparin protocol experience
   - Non-titratable cardiac drip management
   - CVA experience
   - Oxygen administration including nasal cannula and oxygen tank
   - Isolation precautions/PPE and wound/wound vac care
• Time off restrictions apply: every other winter and summer holiday is required with no RTO approved; no RTO on hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day
