Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float required as needed
• Charge RN shifts required as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certification: BLS
• All RNs required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam regardless of specialty
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical surgical patients on a 32-bed unit
• Telemetry monitoring available on unit
• Physical therapy gym located on unit for patient use
• Accommodate ED patients, sometimes with high acuity
• Patient populations include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, shoulder repairs, kyphoplasties, and neck or back surgeries
• Special equipment includes CPMs, Buck's Traction, and neck and back braces
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, wound care, IV management, blood product administration, orthopedic trauma care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
