ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a 31-bed Emergency Department (expanding to 36 beds by 2026)
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for admit assignments per California state ratios
• Must work 4 weekend shifts per month and holidays as assigned
• No on-call responsibilities
• Day, mid, and night shifts available with 8-10 RNs per shift including Resource (break) nurse
• Provide care for adult and pediatric patients of all ages, from birth to geriatric
• Perform acute stroke, STEMI, trauma, and cardiac care procedures including IVs, drips, TNK or tPA, conscious sedation, intubation and vent care
• Perform respiratory and vent care, pediatric care, GYN care, orthopedic and wound care
• Assist with inpatient holding of admits
• Work with trauma, stroke, pediatric, and STEMI center equipment including Belmont and Level 1 Rapid Infusers, Alaris, GE and Philips monitors
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Scrubs must have no specific color requirement, no words or inappropriate designs, and naturally occurring hair color required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an ED with STEMI, Stroke, and Level 2 or Level 3 trauma services required
• 2-3 years of ED experience preferred
• Triage experience preferred
• Experience at a moderate to large sized facility (20+ beds or more than 150 daily visits) preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI
• California RN License required
• All certifications must be obtained prior to start date - no grace period provided
• Must comply with all documentation, medication safety, code care, and assessment/reassessment policies
