Methodist Hospital Specialty & Transplant in San Antonio is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract position in the ICU. This role offers the stability of a set schedule with competitive compensation and the opportunity to work with a specialized patient population.

Position Details

  • Shift: 3x12 nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend schedule with 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
  • No on-call requirements
  • Weekly pay: $1,665

Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in the ICU, performing critical care procedures including central line placement, bedside tracheostomies, and bronchoscopy assistance. When census permits, you may float to other areas within the system as a functional nurse, including other ICUs. You will document care using Meditech and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage complex patients.

Requirements

  • Current active RN license in Texas (temporary licenses no longer accepted)
  • 2+ years of critical care experience
  • 2+ years of hospital or travel healthcare experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Rotoprone and CRRT (Prismaflex) exposure preferred

Facility Guidelines

This position requires adherence to specific dress code and appearance standards. Navy scrubs are required for RNs; undershirts and jackets must be white, navy, or black. Nails must be natural, clean, no longer than 1/4 inch, with no acrylics or chipped polish. Hair must be shoulder-length or shorter and natural color. Body art should be covered when possible, and visible piercings other than ear piercings are not permitted.
