ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required
• Float required to ICUs and Cardiac Telemetry units
• Standby call required with no call pay
• Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Care for cardiac and medical intensive care patients as well as step-down overflow
• Strong cardiac ICU experience required, specifically CCU or CVICU background
• Experience with advanced cardiac devices required including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and Transcatheter Pacemaker
• Experience with ventilator management, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR), pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, and sheath removal
• Additional skills include: arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, Impella and IABP management, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Patients are adults only
• Unit contains 19 beds with a daily census of 16
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Self-scheduling unit
