Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• On-call schedule to be determined by facility
• Weekend schedule to be determined by facility
• Work on a stroke unit requiring specialized knowledge and experience with stroke patients
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• Must be willing to take telemetry patients as needed
• 2+ years of recent Med Surg/Tele experience required
• 2+ years of experience working with stroke patients required
• Previous travel experience required
• No scheduling restrictions - must be willing to work facility's schedule
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS (active at time of submission via NIHStrokeScale.org)
• Must be willing to obtain mRs/SIREN Certification and Basic EKG certification with a score of 85% or higher if offered
• Maryland nursing license required with Nursys verification (must be less than 30 days old)
• Candidates must be actively working with and experienced in treating stroke patients
