Telemetry RN Job in Clinton, MD

MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Telemetry unit. You will care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic clinical environment with strong interdisciplinary support.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: November 16, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,979
• Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
• No on-call; float required within skillset and acuity level

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years recent experience
• Completed at least 1 travel assignment
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Experience managing 6 patients per shift

Clinical Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV therapy, peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Central line and port access and management
• Airway management: non-invasive techniques, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP
• Chest tube and tracheostomy care
• Feeding tube and wound care management
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• Arterial blood gas interpretation
• Post-operative care: post-MI, post-hemodialysis, post-neurosurgery, total joint replacement
• Specialized nursing: spinal cord injury, renal failure, traumatic brain injury
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocol adherence

Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary support.
