Telemetry RN Job in Leonardtown, MD

MedStar Saint Marys Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Adult Med Surg Telemetry unit in Leonardtown, MD. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Schedule & Pay

• 3x12 night shift with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend coverage required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Weekly pay: $1,979

Role Details

You will care for adult patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio. Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and care of patients with conditions such as diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, sickle cell crisis, GI bleed, and diverticulitis. You may float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed. Pediatric care is not required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment completed
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Port access and management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Central line and PICC line care
• Chest tube management
• Feeding tube and tracheostomy care
• Wound care and wound vac management
• High-flow nasal cannula
• PCA and heparin protocols
• Continuous bladder irrigation

Certifications

• Required: BLS
• Preferred: ACLS

Special Procedures & Equipment

You will work with patients undergoing total joint orthopedic, colorectal, vascular, and bariatric surgeries. Equipment includes ceiling and portable patient lifts, CADD pumps, chest tubes, telemetry systems, and capnography monitors.
