Telemetry RN Job in Clinton, MD

Join MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital as a Registered Nurse on our Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. You'll care for patients recovering from total joint replacements, spine surgeries, abdominal procedures, urologic surgeries, and general medicine diagnoses. This is a 91-day assignment starting October 19, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12 rotating shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Shifts will not rotate between AM and PM in the same week
• Weekly pay: $1,989

Unit Details

• Patient ratio: 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float required
• Documentation system: Cerner (preferred)
• Medication management: Pyxis
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue (not provided)

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (Maryland compact or MD state license required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment
• BLS certification
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms

Required Skills

• Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Care of orthopedic patients

Preferred Skills

• Orthopedic trauma experience
• Total joint replacement care
• Previous charge nurse experience
