Telemetry RN Job in Frederick, MD

Frederick Health Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry unit. You will provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations requiring cardiac monitoring and a higher level of observation than a Medical-Surgical unit.

Role Details

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Float within scope as needed
• No block scheduling available
• PCU staffing ratio: 1:4 nurse-to-patient (12 PCU beds)
• Telemetry staffing ratio: typically 1:5 with a maximum of 1:6

Patient Populations

You will care for patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), NSTEMI, pre-cardiac catheterization patients, stroke, pulmonary disorders, diabetes, multi-system disease, and post-surgical patients.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Maryland or compact license (no exceptions)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Community hospital experience required

Preferred Skills

• MEDITECH charting system experience
• Previous charge experience
• Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Central line care and management
• Heparin protocols and blood product administration
• BiPAP/CPAP management and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• PCA management
• Tracheostomy care and wound care/wound vac
• Rapid response and code team experience

First-time travelers are welcome. Assignment begins November 18, 2026, for 91 days. Weekly pay is $2,127.
