Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule with nights
• First to float when needed to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on 49-bed telemetry unit
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to contract signing
• Required to interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• One shift of unit orientation provided
• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips, CVA/TIA experience, and total joint replacement experience
• Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation
• Work with common diagnoses including CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetics, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements
• Handle set-rate Diltiazem/Cardizem drips (no titration required)
• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: work 2 days and one eve or 2 eves and one day for major holidays
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Self-scheduling system balanced by manager for 4-week periods
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
• BSN not required
