ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Float to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units
• ICU patient ratio of 2:1 for all shifts including days, nights, and weekends
• Float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3
• May float to non-critical care units if census is low in ICU
• May be asked to serve as a patient sitter if needed
• Every other weekend requirement or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule plus holiday rotation
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics; adolescents are rare but would be adult size/weight between 16-18 years of age
• 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
• 1 year CV ICU experience required
• Will not accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, OCN, TNCC
• Required skills: Vents, IV start, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation, Arterial line management, Central line care/management, Blood Product Administration, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips
• Preferred cardiac skill set: Swan-Ganz/hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT experience
• Preferred experience: Triage, ICP monitoring, PA lines, Level 1 Trauma
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
