Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with shift end time varying as procedures must be completed
• Daily caseload includes 4 to 5 labs per day with 2 CVT per lab, approximately 20 cases per day
• On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month, plus one call shift and one evening shift every week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities
• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
• Must be proficient in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitor
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include diagnostic and interventional coronary cath, diagnostic and interventional vascular, angioplasty, shockwave, temporary pacer, IABP, Impella, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies
• Special equipment used includes Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shockwave, MAC Lab (documentation), and Vidistar (image storage)
• Required skills include accurate monitoring, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, embolization, IVC filter placement, and PACS
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period; called-off hours can be broken down to equal one shift
• Community hospital experience required
