Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Baltimore, MD

You will work as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting at MedStar Health Physical Therapy at Federal Hill in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026.

Schedule and Setting

You will work a 5x8 day shift schedule with flexible start and end times. You'll see approximately 11 patients per day in a multi-disciplinary medical center with physician support.

Clinical Responsibilities

You will provide skilled outpatient orthopedic physical therapy care to patients ranging from adolescents to geriatric adults. Your duties include:

• Perform active range of motion (AROM), active-assisted range of motion (AAROM), and passive range of motion (PROM)
• Conduct extremity and spinal mobilization
• Provide gait training and therapeutic modalities including e-stim, TENS, moist heat, and cryotherapy
• Develop and implement plans of care with short-term and long-term goals
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
• Treat non-surgical and post-operative patients

Conditions and Procedures

You will work with orthopedic injuries, low back pain, sciatica, degenerative disc and joint disease, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and frozen shoulder. Post-operative care includes patients following cervical surgery, shoulder repair, spinal surgery, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, and hip fractures.

You will also utilize assistive devices including standard and rolling walkers, crutches, gait belts, shoulder slings, and soft and hard collars.

Requirements

You must have a current Physical Therapist license (compact license or Maryland license). You will need BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years is required, and you must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,173.
