Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Rockville, MD

Adventist HealthCare - Shady Grove Orthopaedics seeks a Physical Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic clinic in Rockville, MD. This is a full-time position offering stable weekday hours with no weekend or on-call obligations.

Position Details

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• 13-week assignment starting November 2, 2026
• Approximately 12 patient visits per day
• Adult patient population
• 24 hours of orientation provided

Requirements

• Physical Therapy degree
• Valid Maryland license
• BLS certification
• Cerner charting system experience required
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply
• Orthopedic experience preferred

Clinical Competencies

You will manage a range of orthopedic conditions including ankle sprains, elbow/hand/hip/knee/shoulder injuries, tendinopathy, degenerative disc disease, degenerative joint disease, and sciatica. Your treatment toolkit will include range-of-motion techniques (AROM, AAROM, PROM), cervical and lumbar traction, e-stimulation, extremity mobilization, myofascial release, gait training, strength testing, and ultrasound. You will develop and implement plans of care, provide home exercise programs, educate patients and families, and manage post-operative rehabilitation for cervical, shoulder, and spinal surgeries as well as total hip and knee replacements. Experience with assistive devices, body mechanics training, sports medicine principles, and workers' compensation cases is expected.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,222
