About this role

Join MedStar Health Physical Therapy at Pasadena as a Physical Therapist providing outpatient orthopedic care. You will work five 8-hour shifts per week with flexible start and end times, treating patients across a broad age range including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide general outpatient orthopedic physical therapy with a mix of non-surgical and post-operative care
  • Treat conditions including low back pain, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, degenerative joint disease, frozen shoulder, knee injuries, hip fractures, spinal conditions, and sports medicine cases
  • Perform evaluations, assessments, pain assessments, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring
  • Administer therapeutic interventions including e-stim, TENS, moist heat, cryotherapy, spinal mobilization, and extremity mobilization
  • Develop and implement home exercise programs, plans of care, short-term goals, and long-term goals
  • Provide gait training using assistive devices including standard walkers, rolling walkers, and gait belts
  • Educate patients and families on safety, injury prevention, and body mechanics
  • Manage billing across Medicare B, Medicaid, Workers Compensation, and private pay
  • Document care in the facility's charting system

Requirements: Minimum 2 years of recent physical therapy experience within the last 7 years. Minimum of 1 completed travel assignment required. Current BLS certification required. CertDN certification preferred. You must hold either a compact license or Maryland license. Two supervisory references required, including one from your most recent assignment.

Assignment Details: 91-day assignment starting October 12, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,173.
