ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Day shift schedule with rotating weekends, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with some shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM as needed
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Document according to standards of care
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute patient plans of care according to individualized patient needs
• Provide patient and family instruction as prescribed by physician and/or clinic policy
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating appropriately through the chain of command
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, decisions, and peer review process
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
• Active WI RN Licensure and RN Education Verification required
• Experienced ER RN preferred
