ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour day/PM shifts with shift times of 5:00 AM–5:00 PM, 9:00 AM–9:00 PM, 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• On-call possibility but would be asked in advance and would rarely occur
• Primary placement in an 18-bed Trauma Level II emergency department unit
• Fast-paced environment with 3–4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispensers
• Respiratory therapy and X-ray staff available on-site in the ED
• Unit supports stroke certification, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases
• EPIC electronic charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred; if no prior travel experience, 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate degree or certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
