Telemetry RN Job in Austin, TX

You'll work as an RN on a 30-bed neuro medical/surgical telemetry unit at South Austin Hospital in Austin, TX. This is a 13-week contract assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with no on-call requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Care for patients on a 1:5 ratio
• Perform stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and vital sign monitoring systems
• Collaborate with a night shift team of 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 3 LVNs, and 3 PCTs
• Utilize Meditech EMR, COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitter, Telepsych, and Teleneuro equipment

Schedule and Requirements

• Work four weekend shifts per schedule
• Required certifications: BLS and NIH
• Preferred certification: ACLS
• Navy scrubs required; hoop nose piercings are not permitted
• Unit packet will be provided on your start date

Compensation and Duration

You'll earn $1,532 per week. This contract runs for 13 weeks (91 days), beginning October 5, 2026. You must be team-oriented, self-motivated, and ready to deliver quality patient care in a fast-paced neuro telemetry setting.
