Job Details:

• Provide Med-Surg-level care to admitted patients being held in the Emergency Department while awaiting inpatient placement
• Care for adult and geriatric patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Work alongside ancillary staff including patient care technicians
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system
• Wear navy blue scrubs
• Manage common patient diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, COPD, and surgical admissions
• Administer blood and blood products
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Provide respiratory treatments including CPAP/BiPAP
• Manage drains and applicable critical care equipment
• Must have solid Med-Surg experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
• Virtual screen required prior to placement
