ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the emergency department required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Patient ratio experience of 4-5 patients
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Travelers may be floated to other campuses as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, stroke care, and triage
• Respiratory therapy available in the department 24/7 to assist with BiPAP and ABGs
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries
