ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Travelers may be floated to any campus as needed
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Adult emergency department; pediatrics is separated
• Respiratory therapy available in the department 24/7 to assist with BiPAP and ABGs
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
