ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shift schedule
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 5 years of experience preferred; minimum 1 year of experience considered
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS
• NC state or compact RN license required
• Epic experience strongly preferred and required for ER - indicate last facility where Epic was used
• Candidates will float within the hospital as needed
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Key clinical skills include triage, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, intubation, chest tube management, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Additional skills include management of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, suicidal patients, stroke care, seizures, trauma, wound and splint management, and phlebotomy
• Interdisciplinary support available from radiology and unit secretary
