Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 56-week travel assignment. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week, providing respiratory and neuro diagnostic care to an adult and geriatric patient population.

Assignment Details:

• Location: New Orleans, LA
• Schedule: 3x12 nights with every other weekend coverage required
• Duration: 56 weeks
• Start date: September 8, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,917

Requirements:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy specialty
• Valid state license (Compact or Louisiana license must be in hand at time of application)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• CRT/RRT certification required
• Located more than 65 miles from facility (distance measured from driver's license address to facility address)
• Local travelers not accepted

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic charting system experience

Candidate Profile:

You have a minimum of two years of respiratory therapy experience. First-time travelers are welcome; however, you must be an experienced Respiratory Therapist—new graduates are not accepted for this position. You're comfortable working nights and every other weekend. You're willing to relocate to a location more than 65 miles from the facility.
