Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics. This is a 56-week travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts
• Weekly pay: $1,911
• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend

Requirements

• Current Compact or Louisiana state license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy specialty
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT/RRT, and AHA certifications
• Experienced RT only; first-time travelers accepted but new graduates are not eligible
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (distance calculated from driver's license address to site address)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic charting system

You will deliver respiratory care and diagnostic services to a diverse patient population in a well-established medical center. Your role will include standard respiratory therapist duties in a diagnostics setting while supporting both routine and complex patient needs.
