Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its respiratory and neuro diagnostics team. This is a travel assignment offering flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Position Details

• Schedule: 4x12 days (3x12 option also available)
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Weekly pay: $2,336
• Assignment duration: 56 weeks
• Start date: September 21, 2026

Requirements

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy specialty
• Valid compact or Louisiana state license required at time of submittal
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Current CRT or RRT certification (AHA)
• New graduates are not accepted; experienced therapists only
• Must live more than 65 miles from facility (verified by driver's license address)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic electronic charting system
• First-time travelers are welcomed for this assignment
