ICU RN Job in Prescott Valley, AZ

You will work as an RN in a 10-bed Multi-Care Acuity Adaptable Unit at Yavapai Regional Medical Center – East. This unit accommodates ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg patients, allowing you to provide care across acuity levels within a single environment.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM or 7:30 PM start times)
• Every other weekend requirement (Friday and Saturday nights)
• Holiday rotation required
• First to float when census is low, with standby rotation during low-census periods

Floating and Patient Care

• Float to East Campus MST and Pediatric unit to care for adult MST patients with two-hour notice
• Float to West Campus in Prescott to care for ICU and PCU patients with two-hour notice
• Patient ratios depend on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5–6, or 1:3 primary care if no nurse aide available

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage common diagnoses including sepsis, suicide attempt, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA, blood pressure or heart rate abnormalities, and post-op complications
• Titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
• Operate respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP (respiratory therapy support available)
• Take and read 12-lead EKGs; monitor ICU patients via bedside cardiac monitor
• Remote monitor techs available for PCU and MST patients

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; candidates with 1 year ICU and 1 year PCU or Med-Surg from larger facilities with strong skills will be considered
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• BSN not required

• Weekly pay: $2,277
• Assignment duration: 91 days
