ED RN Job in Burlington, NC

Cone Health – Alamance Regional Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department in Burlington, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026.

Position Details

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (occasional extensions to 11:30 PM as needed)
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Self-scheduling
• Patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse

Clinical Environment

You will work in a high-volume ED serving approximately 180 visits per day across 58 rooms and beds. The department cares for all age groups—neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics—with specialization in cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health populations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and STARR/Behavioral population certifications

• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Care of ventilated patients and central line care
• Continuous IV sedation administration
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV vasopressor management
• Procedural sedation
• Triage, phlebotomy, and IV initiation and maintenance

You may be floated to other campuses within the Cone Health system as needed. Weekly pay is $2,047.68.
